Police arrested a city man on Saturday morning when they found a car that had been reported stolen in his driveway.

According to a press release from the department, police received information that there was a stolen car in the driveway of 11B Lougee Court. When police questioned the resident, Timothy Zanis, 22, about the Subaru Impreza, he claimed the vehicle was his. Further investigation by police revealed that the car had been reported stolen from Wolfeboro.

Zanis was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. He's been released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and has a court date of February 26 at Laconia District Court. He was also wanted on an electronic bench warrant, and he has a date to answer that unrelated complaint on January 17 at Franklin District Court.
