City Manager Kirk Beattie, City Councilor Bruce Cheney, 2024 Christmas Village Mayor Briana O’Hara, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, City Mayor Andrew Hosmer, City Councilor Tony Felch, City Councilor Mark Haynes and Director of Recreation & Facilities Amy Lovisek attend a ceremony for the city's mayor to receive a key to Christmas Village at Laconia Community Center on Thursday night. Each year, Christmas Village volunteers select a mayor. This is O'Hara's first time serving in the role after 22 years of volunteering. Christmas Village is open this weekend 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7-8. Time is reserved for senior citizens from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, and for people with physical disabilities from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday.
