A 21-year-old Bristol woman was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon last night for treatment of injuries suffered in a head-on collision of two vehicles on Rte. 104 just before 6 p.m.
Police say Heidi Mcilveen was behind the wheel of a 2003 Pontiac when it crossed the center line and hit a 1999 Subaru being driven by 72-year-old George Radcliffe of Webster.
Mcilveen was described as having possible head and hip/trunk injuries. Radcliffe had no apparent injuries but was transported to Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia as a precautionary measure.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Police say the accident occurred just east of Rte. 4's intersection with Blackey Road, a 55-mph zone, and that speed and alcohol do not appear the have been factors. The investigation continues and anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact Officer McLaughlin at the Meredith Police Department.
Mcilveen was taken from the accident scene to Inter-Lakes Hospital by Sewart's Ambulance, where the Dartmouth-Hitchcock helicopter was met.
