TILTON — After being featured in the media as a “Fugitive of the Week,” Angela Gauthier, 34, was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Tilton.
An investigation discvovered that Gauthier was residing with a family member on River Street in Tilton. She was arrested there without incident. Gauthier was wanted on a Belknap County warrant for failure to appear for the charges of felon in possession of firearms and possession of controlled drugs. She was transported to the Belknap County Correctional Facility, where she was processed and held pending her appearance in court.
The “Fugitive of the Week” had been aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, and published in The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link, as well as prominently featured on the internet. The U.S. Marshal's Service reports that it has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007.
