LACONIA — A delivery vehicle containing approximately 2,000 copies of the Thursday edition of The Laconia Daily Sun was stolen from its drivers sometime late Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. The drivers, a couple, were making one of their first delivery stops after leaving the printing facility in Concord when the car was stolen. The vehicle was located in Fairfield, Connecticut, using its GPS system mid-morning today, according to Roger Brooks of The Concord Monitor, but many Daily Sun delivery boxes remain empty.
The Daily Sun is printed at the facilities of The Concord Monitor. Printers informed The Sun they are working to transport copies of the Thursday edition to the Lakes Region as soon as possible.Â
