Bonnette, Page & Stone Corporation, doing business as C.R. Builders Pride Properties, LLC, has purchased a lot in Phase II of the Lakes Business Park. The firm has acquired Lot 9, a 3.89 acre parcel which was listed at $213,950, for $146,000.

The Lakes Business Park, located in Gilford, is a joint undertaking between the City of Laconia and Town of Gilford, which share the proceeds from its development. The Gilford Board of Selectmen approved the transaction at its meeting yesterday. The sale was earlier approved by the Laconia City Council, most likely in a non-public session following its meeting Monday night.

John Ayer, Director of Planning and Land Use in Gilford, said that representatives of Bonnette, Page & Stone had indicated they would discuss their plans for the property with the Gilford Planning Board when it meets on Monday night. There is speculation that Bonnette, Page & Stone has acquired the property to construct a building, then sell the entire package to the ultimate owner.

The lot is the third to be sold. Last year F.W. Webb Company, a wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, cooling and piping products, purchased lots 14 and 15, totaling 5.62 acres, to construct a 40,000 square foot distribution center.

Located just inside the Laconia (Rte. 3) Bypass, the Lakes Business Park consists of 19 lots, ranging in size from 2.29 acres to 3.994 acres and listed for between $82,950 and $236,400. It is served by municipal water and sewer, natural gas, three phase power and fiber optic service.
