Brian Boyers is no longer an employee of the Town of Alton. He had been the town's code enforcement officer and building inspector before being placed on paid administrative leave in late September of last year.
The town's web site began advertising an opening for a "code official/health officer" on December 22. The help-wanted advertisement asks applicants to respond by January 29.
A phone call to Town Administrator Russ Bailey was not immediately returned. In earlier interviews, he has declined to say why Boyers was placed on leave.
Pat Fuller, vice-chair for the town's Board of Selectmen, said only that Boyers "is no longer our code enforcement officer." She wouldn't say why or how Boyers's employment with the town ended.
Boyers continues to serve as the building inspector for the town of Milton.
