Fairgoers enjoyed animal shows featuring cows, horses, oxen, goats, poultry, sheep, dogs, pigs, rabbits and cavies at the Belknap County 4-H Fair in Belmont last weekend. A couple thousand people attended for events like tractor pulls, jello- and pudding-eating contests, and water balloon tosses. Food and crafts were also available to purchase. The fair started in 1943, and remains the smallest of the agricultural fairs in New Hampshire.
