WOLFEBORO — A Stoneham Road resident is facing multiple alcohol-related charges after police allegedly found her behind the wheel of a car on the Wolfeboro Rail Trail at the corner of Cotton Valley and Cotton Mountain roads on Jan. 9.
According to Police Chief Dean Rondeau, Peggy Williams, 72, is facing charges of driving while intoxicated-subsequent offense, wrongful conduct after an accident, and driving after her license had been suspended.
Police investigated after receiving a report at 7:05 p.m. of a possible intoxicated woman in a car.
Williams was released on a hand summons at Huggins Hospital, and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
