HOLDERNESS — A Plymouth driver who was allegedly speeding and lost control of a truck had to be cut out of the vehicle and airlifted to the hospital on Monday.
According to State Police, troopers in Troop F received reports a red pickup truck went off the road fast, and crashed into the woods on Interstate 93, near Exit 25, at about 4 p.m. on July 27. Responding troopers found a red, 2017 Ford F-150 in the woods and down the slope off the shoulder of the Exit 25 on-ramp.
The driver was identified as Michael Bisson, 60, of Plymouth, who was trapped and seriously injured. State Police had no further information about the type of injury.
“Members of the Plymouth Fire & Rescue, as well as the Holderness and Ashland fire departments, extricated Bisson from the vehicle,” said Michal Sventek, spokesperson for State Police.
After emergency personnel quickly worked to remove Bisson from the truck, he was flown by helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Sventek declined to comment on whether charges are expected, and the accident is under investigation.
