LACONIA — A local man has been sentenced to state prison after pleading guilty to several drug charges, including sale of fentanyl.
Kyle Avery, 28, whose address is variously listed in court records as Pendleton Road and Messer Street, in Laconia, pleaded guilty in Belknap Superior Court last week to two counts of sale of fentanyl.
Judge James D. O’Neill III sentenced Avery to 1½ to three years in prison on one charge, with credit for the 180 days he had already spent in confinement prior to the plea-and-sentencing hearing.
On the second trafficking charge the judge imposed a two- to four-year sentence, with all the time suspended on condition of five years’ good behavior. In addition, Avery was ordered to pay $150 in restitution.
In addition, Avery pleaded guilty to two charges of possession of fentanyl. On each of the charges, he received a suspended 12-month sentence which was conditioned on five years’ good behavior.
The suspended sentences will begin once Avery is released from prison.
