Lindsey Buckingham‘s alleged stalker just spoke out after the Fleetwood Mac star was attacked in Los Angeles.
On Wednesday, April 1, an unnamed woman allegedly threw an unknown substance at Buckingham, 76, when he showed up for an appointment in Santa Monica, NBC4 Investigates reported. The attack happened after he entered a building. Afterward, the woman, a stalking suspect, ran off. Buckingham was reportedly not injured, and no arrest has been made, as of writing.
During an interview with KTLA published on April 2, Michelle Dick, 54 — an alleged stalker of Buckingham, who claims that he is her biological father — admitted to approaching the musician last week and previously showing up at his home.
“One time, that was last year,” Dick admitted, of going to Buckingham’s Brentwood residence. “But I didn’t know I had a restraining order on me. He wasn’t a father to me, but he’s my birth father.” Additionally, she told the outlet that she has been living in her car.
Dick has not been identified as the suspect in Buckingham’s LA attack. However, he was granted a restraining order against Dick, according to court documents obtained by KTLA.
Allegedly, Dick sent messages to Buckingham’s wife, Kristen, on her business phone and claimed she was going to kill them. She also allegedly showed up at their home multiple times, made a false 911 call claiming someone at the Buckingham’s home needed help, and sent threatening messages to Buckingham’s son, William, via phone, and to one of his daughters, via social media.]
Buckingham is a former guitarist and singer for Fleetwood Mac alongside Stevie Nicks and the late Christine McVie. He made his initial run with the band from 1974 to 1987, before re-joining in 1997. In 2018, Buckingham left the band again over a dispute about the band’s touring schedule. He has strongly hinted at a reunion with the band in recent months.
