More than 25 businesses recently took part in the Inter-Lakes Middle High School Career Partnership Annual Job Fair, an event that has long been organized through the Greater Meredith Career Partnership in collaboration with the Inter-Lakes School District. For years, this initiative has brought together local businesses and students, creating valuable employment opportunities. This year, students in grades seven through twelve engaged with employers — many submitting applications or even securing jobs on the spot. Businesses arrived with treats and giveaways, making the two-hour event both productive and inviting as they connected with dozens of students. Attendees from McDonald's, Hannaford and Belknap Landscaping to Kellerhaus, Giuseppe's Pizzeria and E.M. Heath Supermarket, each depend on local labor to maintain operations during the busy summer tourist season. Helping students explore, apply for, and secure employment is a key pillar of the Career Partnership Program, which encompasses six essential career-based components: employment, internships, job shadowing, volunteering, classroom speakers, and field trips.
