WOLFEBORO ― Wolfeboro Area Community Television technology updates this spring include Breezeline legacy channel changes and installation of the new broadcast server.
Timothy Goodwin, WCTV executive director, said as part of Breezeline network modernization, Wolfeboro Community TV public access, education and government programming will be found on Breezeline cable on channels 983, 984 and 985.
In addition, WCTV’s new broadcast server has been installed and is in operation. Among changes that are or will be in the works in the coming months, Breezeline’s changes now will mean those streaming WCTV will enjoy high definition quality on channels 9001, 9002 and 9003.
Among outreach efforts this season, WCTV will host the Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce monthly social on Wednesday, April 22, at 5 p.m. The event taking place at the WCTV studios will give attendees the chance to see the studio facility and learn about community media center updates.
In addition, there are WCTV regular program additions including:
- "Animals of the Month," a Lakes Region Humane Society production supported by WinniPaw Station at 35 S. Main St. The program features animals available for adoption at the nonprofit animal shelter.
- "Coffee and Connections" featuring Governor Wentworth Regional School District Superintendent Caroline Arakelian, members of the GWRSD School Administrative Unit and special guests.
Wolfeboro Community Television records and shares local meetings, school and special events and community stories. WCTV welcomes people from area businesses and towns served by WCTV who are interested in joining the community board, as well as production volunteers.
