LACONIA — Ulysses C. Simoneau, 87, of 8 Taylor Home Drive and formerly of 24 Spring Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Sunday, October 12, 2003.
Mr. Simoneau was born May 16, 1916 in Laconia, the son of Charles J. and Cecilia M. (Bouley) Simoneau and was a lifetime resident of Laconia. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII.
Mr. Simoneau was employed at Scott & Williams for twenty-one years, and was also employed at the Laconia State School and Training Center for ten years. He was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks and was a member of the Laconia Senior Center.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Julia (Shlaitas) Simoneau of Laconia; two grandchildren, Lisa Michelle Hotalen and Jonathan Covell, both of Rochester, New York; two great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a stepson, Francis Covell.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at the family lot at Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
