LACONIA — Theresa “Terry” Baillargeon Kimball, 87, passed away on Oct. 26, 2024, at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of declining health.
Theresa was born on May 5, 1937, in Laconia, the daughter of the late Delphis and Alexandrine Duval Baillargeon.
Terry, as she was known to family and friends, graduated from Laconia High School. Her 1956 Lakon Yearbook reads “keeps Mr. Morrison busy ... pretty blond ... very quiet ways. Future: Secretary.” She started her working career at O’Shea's Department Store and went on to Verizon where she spent several years. Later she worked at Laconia Savings Bank until her retirement.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Roland “Sonny” Kimball in April 2016. One of their favorite activities together was skiing, which they did well into their later years. They also enjoyed spending time snowmobiling in the North Country. In the summertime they enjoyed trailer camping along the Maine coast with their friends. Due to their dislike of flying, they took many bus trips exploring this country. Terry was an avid walker, walking every day no matter the weather.
They made their first home in the Winnisquam area of Belmont, then moving to Gilford, for the remainder of their years.
Surviving family members include her sisters Noel Sinsabaugh, of Kennebunk, Maine, Jenny Iverson, of Hampton, Jeanne Glauser, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Pauline and Steve Weeks of Gilford, as well as her brother Roger and Gayle Baillargeon of Dover. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Gait, Gillis, Robert and her sister Francoise.
We would like to express sincere thanks to their nephew Philip and his wife Gail Huckins for their care, friendship and assistance. We would also like to thank the staff at St. Francis for their thoughtful and loving care.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Belknap Mountain Road, Gilford. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
