GILFORD — Suzanne K. Almond, 69, of Breton Road died Saturday morning, August 20, 2005 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on July 17, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Sixten and Ruth (Soderlun) Olson. She had been a resident of Gilford for the past 31 years coming from Keene.
Suzanne worked as an Assistant Administrator for the Special Education Department within the Newfound District School System.
Suzanne was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and it’s choir in Laconia. She was an avid Bridge player.
Suzanne is survived by her two sons, Kurt Almond of Bountiful, Utah, and Scott Almond and his wife Tiffany of St. Petersburg, Fla. She is also survived by her grandson Angus Almond of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 22, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2238 Parade Road, Laconia. Family and friends are invited to attend. Burial will take place in the family lot at Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
