LACONIA — Roberta “Robbie” Banker Frost, 50, died at the Apple Ridge Residential Home in Laconia after a short illness.
Robbie was born in Manchester, on January 28, 1956. She was a resident of the Laconia State School during her early years and became part of the Frost family of Gilford when she was 12. Don and Mary Frost adopted her and she lived with the family until she was 30, later moving to community residences in Rumney, Webster and Dorchester.
Robbie was a client of the Community Services Council which facilitated her job training and living facilities. Ron Mizner, whose office is in Plymouth, was Robbie’s case manager for fifteen years and provided excellent, caring services.
Survivors in addition to Don and Mary are sisters, Nancy and Susan and Susan’s husband, Jeff; brother, David, and several nieces and nephews, including Sean who grew up with Robbie.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Lakeport on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 12:30 p.m. followed by a reception at the Parish Hall.
Burial will be in the family lot at McCoy Cemetery, Gilford.
Stem cell research is currently limited but to honor Roberta’s life with a potential to affect the lives of others affected by Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, in lieu of flowers, people might wish to consider donating to the Stem Cell Research Foundation, Memorial Gift, Developmental Dept., 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871 or The Michael J.
