Richard Lopes, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 13, 2025, at his home in Ashland.
Richard was born on Sept. 11, 1974, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, to Richard and Pauline Lopes.
In 1987, Ricky, as he was called by family and friends, moved from Rhode Island with his family to Campton.
After graduating from Plymouth High School, he decided he wanted to be an auto mechanic like his father because he liked working on cars. He worked at AutoServ in Tilton with his father, then went to work at Wilson Tire for 25 years in Plymouth. From there he and his good friend Mike went into business together and opened up RAM Automotives in Campton.
Ricky leaves two sons behind, O’Ryan Richard Lopes of Ashland and Dylan Kobie Lopes and his wife Pauline of Littleton. He is also survived by his father and mother, Richard and Pauline Lopes of Laconia; his sister Lindsay and her husband Seth Kenerson and niece Maddy of Laconia; his uncle Roger and aunt Cathy Robitaille of Laconia; and several cousins.
Elliott Dupuis Funeral Home of Ashland assisted the family during this very sad time.
