Regina Dokus, 51, of Northfield, died in Concord on Feb. 2, at sunrise. This warrior queen took her final breaths, after a long battle with cancer, with family and friends by her side.
Regina is survived by her children Violet and Dylan, brothers Allyn and Joshhua, parents Jack and Rosemarie, aunts Mary Jo and Jean, stepmother Laurie, step-siblings Travis and Sophia, sisters-in-law Betty and Mandy, nephews Isaiah and Romeo, nieces Isla and Evie, numerous cousins and uncountable friends.
Regina was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, on Jan. 14, 1974. When she wasn’t filling the lives of family and friends with happiness, she was dispensing delight at the New Hampshire Veterans Home with her recreation work. Through her kindness and actions, she reminded us that life is truly about the little things. Never forgetting a birthday or holiday, Regina not only remembered, she acknowledged. Her joy was giving. She was truly selfless, continually thinking of others.
Regina will be remembered for her festive spirit, her ever changing shades of purple hair, and for infecting our lives with laughter and love.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Regina will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Sant Bani Ashram, 19 Ashram Road, Sanbornton. In lieu of flowers, donations for Regina’s children can be made in her memory through GoFundMe/ReginaDokus.

My deepest condolences to Regina’s family. I went to Sant Bani, I was in the second grade, Regina, must have been in the jr high at that point. She drew me a picture of my stuffed animal I was carrying, so full of detail. I kept it. I didn’t know her, but the impact she left on my heart was ever lasting. I have no doubt she made many people smile the way she did me. She is a beautiful soul! I will forever cherish her and her memory, especially her infectious smile.
