FRANKLIN — Nina Georgiana (Vanadestine) Wagner, 66, of 12 Prescott Street in Franklin died at her home Sunday, January 2, 2005 following a period of failing health. She was born in Hartland, Maine, daughter of the late James and Isabelle (Dumont) Vanadestine.
Nina lived in Connecticut for many years and before moving to Franklin in 1997, she had lived for several years in Milford, Conn. She worked in healthcare for many years in Connecticut nursing homes and was a homemaker.
She was generous to her many charities, especially the humane society. One of her favorite pastimes was gardening and her flower beds.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond C. Wagner Sr.; and by brothers, Robert White and James Vanadestine. Her family includes two sons, Raymond C. Wagner Jr. of Colchester, Conn., and Mark A. Wagner of Franklin; three daughters, Debra Wagner of Tampla, Fla., Tammy L. Riederer of Franklin, and Lisa M. Frederickson of Franklin; five grandchildren; four brothers, John Vanadestine of Danielson, Conn., Michael Vanadestine of Bristol, Conn., Gary Vanadestine of Middletown, Conn., and Frederick Vanadestine of Florida;
three sisters, Betty Belden of Houston, Texas, Dawn Matias of Wallingford, Conn., and Linda Byram of Florida; and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Memorial Home. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
