MOULTONBOROUGH — Nancy Irene (Nudd) Cook, 71, of Moultonborough, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home on July 2, 2024.
Nancy was born on Sept. 28, 1952, to the late Walter and Mabel (Bickford) Nudd. She attended Moultonborough Central School and graduated from Kingswood Regional High School in 1971.
After high school Nancy married the love of her life, the late John "Jack" O. Cook Jr. They had been married for over 50 years. Nancy was a caretaker for many years. She also worked as a waitress at The Village Kitchen.
Nancy loved spending time on her lawnmower and taking care of the grounds outside of her home. She loved having her family all around her. She was the epitome of kindness and generosity, always offering her loving support to everyone around her. Nancy’s sense of humor brought joy and laughter to those fortunate enough to be in her presence. Her legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all that knew her.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Gentleman Jack Cook; her parents, Walter and Mabel Nudd; and her sister, Marjorie Hannett.
Nancy leaves behind her daughter and her husband, Jackie and Matt Taylor of Moultonborough; her grandchildren, Alicia Taylor and Edlian Velez, Christopher Taylor and Mallory Melewski, all of Moultonborough; the absolute lights of her life, her great-grandchildren Keelan, Eliana and Jack. She also leaves behind her brother, Walter Raymond Nudd of Moultonborough; her mother-in-law, Patricia Cook of South Tamworth; and many other relatives and friends.
There will be a graveside service to be held at Holland Hill Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13.
