Mildred Durgin Beaupre, 89, of 11 Daisy Lane in Franklin died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia following a period of failing health.

She was born in Franklin, October 14, 1917, the last surviving child of Napoleon and Florence (Cullen) Durgin. She spent her youth and was schooled in Franklin. She lived in Mount Kisco, N.Y., for many years and later lived in Ft. Pierce Beach, Fla., for 20 years before moving back to Franklin in 2001.

Mildred enjoyed painting, playing cards and was a great fan of NASCAR. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 1698 in Franklin. She was a parishioner of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Franklin. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Roger Donald Beaupre who died in 2003 and her son Edward R. Beaupre who died in 2003.

Her family includes two sons William J. Beaupre of Franklin, Neil R. and wife Linda (Cross) Beaupre of Franklin, grand, great-grand and great, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. in Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin. Burial will follow.

The William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton is assisting the family with arrangements.
