Michael R. Caissie

BRISTOL — Michael R. Caissie, 57, died Friday, November 13 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Weisner, New Brunswick one of nine children of Paul and Jeannette (Richards) Caissie. At the age of three, the family moved to New Hampshire and shortly settled in Bristol, where Michael has resided for much of his life.

Over the years, Michael attended local schools, worked at Freudenberg, Calley & Currier and Regional Siding. Like many of his family, he had a gift for the arts including drawing, carving and especially music. He was always involved with a band and many would remember him walking through town with a guitar over his back. He will always be remembered for going out of his way to lend a hand to others.

He leaves his fiancée, Katy Gove of Bristol; mother, Jeannette Caissie of Maine; brother, James Caissie of Bristol; sisters, Debbie Maillet of Vancouver, British Columbia; Alice Eastman of Holton, ME; Margaret “Peggy” Foppe of Michgan; Jacquline Wood and Louise Caissie of Danforth, ME; Michelle Fugere of North Conway; niece Amanda and her husband Gary Dulac of Loudon; nieces, Kianna and Shauna; and nephews, Adam and Gage, all of Maine and many extended family. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Antoine “Tony” Caissie.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Homeland Cemetery, Bristol, NH. A celebration of life will follow at The Blake Farm in New Hampton. To share a memory, please go to www.emmonsfuneralhome.com.
