Mary H. Vaillant, 77

ASHLAND — Mary Helen Vaillant, 77, died in Concord Hospital on September 19, 2022, following a period of declining health.

She was born in Warren on June 9, 1945, the daughter of James and Marjorie (Phinney) Havlock. Mary was raised in Plymouth, attended Plymouth Schools and graduated Plymouth High School Class of 1963. She married Gerard Vaillant on March 9, 1964, and they had 58 years of marriage together.

Mary was employed by L.W. Packard as a spinner. She also worked at Sprague Electric and for many years at Annalee Dolls in Meredith. Mary enjoyed life, fly fishing, hunting, leather crafts, sewing, gardening, Nascar and country music.

Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Paul, Richard, Sonny, Jimmy and Jack.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Gerard Vaillant of Ashland; her son, Victor Valliant of Ashland; her brothers, Elwood Havlock and Earl Havlock, both of Ashland; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Dupuis Funeral Home, 11 Hill Avenue in Ashland on Saturday, September 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 25, at Green Grove Cemetery on Main Street in Ashland at 2 p.m.
