LACONIA — She lived a life that's full, traveled each and every highway, and more, much more than this, she did it her way. Mary Elizabeth Bridgeman passed on March 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones and family.
Mary was born in Watertown, Massachusetts, on June 11, 1938, to Dennis and Mary Callahan. She graduated from Watertown High School and completed two years of postsecondary education at Burdett College, Massachusetts.
Mary touched the lives of so many. To her husband George, Mary was an adventurer, always driving them to the next outing. In her career as a Realtor at Ledgewood Realty Century 21 she loved making sales, finding young couples their first home, and building community. Everywhere Mary went she could point out a house she sold or someone she found a home for. With friends and family, she was the life of the party, a matchmaker, and a leader. Later in life, Mary became Nana Fun to her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She fostered countless memories — dancing on the kitchen countertops, trips to Funspot, the Sandwich Fair, and days at the lake. Mary loved big in all areas of life. She was passionate about her Boston Celtics, Frank Sinatra, her Irish heritage, and much more.
Mary is survived by her son Dennis and (wife) Sandy Bridgeman, her daughters Deb Brown and Annemarie Bridgeman, her sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Paul Donnelly and her nephew, Kevin Donnelly. She is further survived by her six grandchildren, Ashley Mathis, George Hodapp, McHale Bridgeman, Haley Bridgeman, Lillian Hodapp and Maxwell Bridgeman, and her four great-grandchildren, Cole Mathis, Cade Mathis, Crue Mathis and Grace Bridgeman. She is predeceased by her husband, George Bridgeman, and their son, David Bridgeman.
Mary lived life to the fullest. The family takes great comfort knowing she has joined her husband George and son David in Heaven.
