LACONIA — Lena Dauphinais, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at St. Francis Home in Laconia. Lena was born in March of 1922 in Enfield, daughter of the late William and Rosalie (Bedard) Dauphinais. She was active in the Grange and the Catholic Daughters of America for many years. She worked at Kendrick and Davis in Lebanon and made fine electrical components when she worked in Laconia. For several years, Lena taught CCD and worked as a housekeeper in a number of rectories and seminaries.

Lena was a caring and gentle woman who loved music and played several instruments. She sang in the choir and played the organ for church services.

Lena is survived by her sister, Regina Dauphinais, of Cheshire, Conn., and numerous nieces and nephews.

A calling hour and a Mass of Christian Burial were held at the St. Helena Church in Enfield on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon.
