DANBURY — Kathryn Jean Hamilton passed away peacefully surrounded by her children in Warner, on the morning of Nov. 19, 2025, at the age of 71.

Kathy was born on Jan. 29, 1954, to parents Ralph and Phyllis Rodman and grew up on Mountain Street in Willimantic, Connecticut. She studied fine arts at Eastern Connecticut State University and started her professional career in advertising, where she met her loving husband Robert A. Hamilton, whom she married in February of 1982. Kathy and Robert were happily married for 32 years, until Robert predeceased her in July of 2014.

Kathy spent many years maintaining a warm and loving home for her family, working in the town office, and later held a position as an art teacher at the Academy of the Holy Family in Baltic, Connecticut. In 2014 she moved to New Hampshire, to be closer to her children and growing number of grandchildren.

Kathy had a lifelong love for all forms of art, animals (especially dogs and horses), and always held a special place in her heart for Mickey Mouse and Disney. Kathy will be remembered by all who loved her for her unfailing Christian faith, unforgettable sense of humor, and her kind and generous nature.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Phyllis Rodman, and her husband, Robert Hamilton. Surviving family members include her siblings, Jeffrey and wife Debbie, Susan and husband Val, and Janice and husband Wes; her children, Jonathan and wife Paige, Laura, Nicholas and wife Amber; and her six grandchildren. Kathy will also be remembered by the staff of Pine Rock Manor who played an irreplaceable and invaluable role in the final chapter of her life.

A celebration of life and reception is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, at the Canaan Assembly of God in Canaan. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Compassion International or the Pregnancy Center of the Upper Valley.
