June Chamberlain

GILFORD — June Elaine Chamberlain, 91, of Old Lake Shore Road, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024, at Concord Hospital - Laconia.

June was born on Nov. 30, 1932, in Laconia, the daughter of Henry Nelson Labrecque and Isabelle Angeline (Theberge) DeBlois.

She worked at Cantin Chevrolet from Dec. 1, 1971 until retiring in 2009 after 38 years.

She was devoted to her family and her faith in God as she was a communicant of St. Andre Bessette Parish. “Our mother was kind, caring, and generous without question.” She was a member of the Laconia Emblem Club and gave her time to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Laconia Elks Club. She enjoyed her flowers, crocheting, puzzles, music, playing cards and visiting with family. Better yet, a good game of Yahtzee.

June leaves behind two sons, Armand G. Chamberlain and his wife Juvie and Alan R. Chamberlain, two daughters, Nancy J. Draper and her husband Gary and Natalie Chamberlain, 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Draper, Alex Savage and his wife Maggie, Lacey Haberstroh, Benjamin Chamberlain, Adam Savage, Nicholas Draper, Mandy Savage, Meredith Robinson and her husband Patrick, Angela Chamberlain and Timothy “TJ” Chamberlain, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, three brothers, Richard “Dick” Labrecque, Peter DeBlois and Edward DeBlois, and two sisters, Patricia Lambert and Claire Drouin. In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Raymond G, Chamberlain, son Timothy J. Chamberlain, grandson Andrew J. Chamberlain, and two brothers, Henry J. Labrecque and Hubert Labrecque.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6, at noon, at St. Andre Bessette Parish at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave.

Burial will follow mass at St. John’s Cemetery, Sanborn Road, Route 132, Tilton.

All are welcome to join the luncheon following burial at June’s home.
