Judith L. Williams, 71

Judith Lea (Clifford) Williams, born July 7, 1955, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her three children and their families, after a brief illness.

Judi’s greatest pride and joy were her children. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Kate A. Flower and her husband Jonathan; her son Matthew Williams and his partner Hannah, along with her cherished grandson, Lochlan; and her son Eddie Williams and his wife Theresa. She is also survived by her brothers, G. Mark Clifford and his partner Mitzi, and Stewart Clifford and his wife Linda; her stepbrothers Bill, Rusty and Artie; her stepsisters Carol, Betty, Lynn and Julie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

She was predeceased by her sister, Holly Sue Clifford; her brother, Michael Clifford; and her parents, Owen S. Clifford and Arlene F. (Locke) Clifford.

A 1973 graduate of Winnisquam High School, Judi dedicated most of her life to serving her community. She worked with the Northfield Police Department and was a trailblazer in her role with Tilton/Northfield Fire & Rescue, where she became the first female firefighter/EMT. Through her commitment and leadership, she rose to the rank of lieutenant and achieved EMT-II certification — an accomplishment that reflected both her determination and her desire to help others in times of need.

Later, Judi devoted 24 years to working at Gilmanton School, retiring in 2021.

She spent nearly the same duration, 21 years, meticulously maintaining Crystal Lake Park in Gilmanton, where she could enjoy seeing her students even more during the summertime and was always known to spare a popsicle or two.

Her impact extended far beyond her professional roles. She gave generously of her time as a volunteer with the Gilmanton PTA and the Gilmanton Youth Organization, where she spent nearly two decades fundraising countless amounts and supporting local youth programs in any way that she could. She also coached youth baseball and basketball and later as a head coach for 7th and 8th grade girls’ basketball.

Judi will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and her deep commitment to her community. She never missed a performance, show, game, tournament, fundraiser, or a day of work. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the paths she helped pave, and the love she shared so freely.

There will be no calling hours.
