John Ober, 65

GILFORD — John Ober, 65, of Liberty Hill Road, passed away on Feb. 6, 2024, at Concord Hospital-Concord.

John was born July 21, 1958, in Laconia, the son of the late Raymond H. and Simone (Laframboise) Ober.

John was a self-employed cabinet maker, who also loved helping his friends make things and giving advice on how to do it. He was a huge sports fan especially watching his New England Patriots. He also loved coaching baseball and playing golf.

John loved to listen to his classic rock music. He really enjoyed playing cards with his friends and reminisce about the good old days. John loved to talk to his son and they would quiz one another about anything to do with history.

John is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Tracy (Drouin) Ober; son Craig Ober; sister, Gail Ober and his mother-in-law Claire Drouin Johnston.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.
