BELMONT — Jeffrey S. Bowser, 63, passed away at home with his family on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jeff was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, on Aug. 27, 1953. He grew up in Rockland, Massachusetts, and was raised by his loving parents, Esther and Frederick Bowser, who predeceased him.

He graduated from Rockland High School and went on to study engineering at Bridgewater Community College. He took his first position at Sigma Instruments in Braintree, Massachusetts, followed by Boston Gear Works in Quincy.

Jeff and his lovely wife Susan moved to Belmont in 1986 “for a better life for their children” Jennifer and Jason. His first place of work in New Hampshire was Watts Regulator in Franklin. He later accepted a position at Aavid Thermalloy in Laconia and his final employment was at Laars Heating in Rochester.

Jeff was loved and respected in both his professional work and personal life. He took pride in his career and family was the most important thing to him. To his joy, the family grew over the years to include two grandchildren, Rachael and Ryan Carroll; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer (Doleva) Bowser; and son-in-law, Garrett Berube.

In his spare time, Jeff really enjoyed envisioning changes to their home and then working to make them a reality over the years, taking great pride in this transformation. He also enjoyed the Patriots, antique cars, travel, jazz music, and spending time with family pets. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he took great joy in making this a special time for everyone.

Jeff was most known for his strong character and values, but more importantly for his enormous heart and caring for others.

He has requested a “celebration of life” at the family home, in lieu of funeral services. This will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to Codepurplenow.org (Suzanne Wright Foundation) for pancreatic cancer, or by mail to The Suzanne Wright Foundation, 610 Fifth Ave., Suite 605, New York, NY 10020.

Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, is assisting the family with the arrangements. For more information and to view an online memorial, go to www.wilkinsonbeane.com.
