James “Jim” Patrick Holland, age 72, of Belmont, passed away on May 11, 2024. He was born on Jan. 26, 1952, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
James is survived by his loving wife, Pamela (Dukette) Holland, his cherished stepchildren, Erika Mussey and Monika McFarland, whom he loved as his own, as well as his two beloved grandchildren, Isaiah Jackson and Akeelah McFarland. He is also survived by his siblings, Ray Holland and his wife Deborah, Gayle Goff and her husband Sonny, Roger Holland and his wife Sheila, Dee Jones and her husband Roy, and Rand Holland and his wife Jenny, all of Tennessee, and his children, Melanie, Kathleen, and John.
James was predeceased by his father, Edd Holland, and mother, Inez (Weaver) Holland. He found fulfillment in his work as a property maintenance professional at Jasmor Roofing and Contracting. James proudly served in the Army from 1971 to 1974 and enjoyed fishing, hunting, working, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his horses. He leaves behind many friends, nieces, nephews, and his loyal sidekicks, Charlie Glidden and Jason Dukette-Rule.
At this time, per Jim's wishes, there will be no services held. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. He will be buried with military honors in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice in James's memory would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Smart Memorial Home.
James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
