Dear Melanie,
Irene was my God mother, she and Earl were very good friends with my parents and were instrumental in helping my parents open Goody Good Donuts. I stayed in touch with her through the years and would visit her in the summer when I was back from Florida. Her spunk and quick wit always amazed me, she spoke of you often and was so proud of you.
I'm saddend that I will not be present for her service, since I am in Florida.
Deepest sympathies. I am so sorry for your loss.
