BELMONT — Irene Ann Lewis, 75, of Depot Street, passed away at her home on April 26, 2026.
Irene was born on June 26, 1950, in Wilton, Maine, the daughter of William and Louise (Ranger) Sawyer.
She enjoyed crocheting, collecting teddy bears and spending time at the beach. Irene was former department president of the American Legion and still very active with her unit, Unit 49, in Tilton.
Irene is survived by her beloved husband Charles Lewis Jr.; children Barbara Sullivan and her partner Joe Cain, Megan Sullivan, Stacy Sorrell and her husband Wes, Todd Lewis and his wife Kelly; 10 grandchildren, Dawn, Veronica, Tatyana, Madison, Amelia, Emma, Nyasia, Alissa, Joey and Dylan; six great-grandchildren; her brother, David Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Irene is predeceased by her brother Robert Sawyer and sister Anita Nolan.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations in Irene’s name be made to the New Hampshire Veterans Home, 139 Winter St., Tilton, NH 03276.
