GILFORD — Gloria Arlene Swain, 89, of Swain Road, passed away on Dec. 19, 2025, at Concord Hospital in Franklin.

Gloria was born on Nov. 11, 1936, in Haverhill, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Mann) Wilson.

She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and spending time reading at Salt Marsh Pond, where she would reminisce about her late husband at his favorite fishing spot.

Gloria is survived by her son Gary Swain; daughter Helen Healey and her husband Charles; seven grandchildren, Angie Jorgensen, Kallie Jorgensen, Amy Jorgensen, Andy Swain and his wife Tami, Brianna Healey, Patrick Swain and his wife Heather and Michael Swain; and two great-grandchildren, Mabel Hadley and Colton Swain.

Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 10, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.

A memorial service will be held at noon, also at the funeral home.

A private burial will be held at a later date at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
