LACONIA — George Godin, 67, died Nov. 23, 2024, at his home with his wife and beloved pets by his side. He passed away due to complications from primary progressive aphasia.
He was born Oct. 2, 1957, in New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Antonio and Rita (DeGrace) Godin.
He attended schools in Lynn, Massachusetts, and graduated from Lynn Tech. George was a machine repair mechanic for NH Ball Bearing for over 40 years.
He enjoyed several years of snowmobiling in Pittsburg (God’s country), camping with family and vacations with his wife, Linda. They traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming, California and several other states. He enjoyed spending time with his always faithful pets, Stella and Phoebe.
He is survived by his wife Linda (Nault) Godin of 47 blessed years, daughters Jenny Godin and Katie Linkkila, son-in-law Brian Duval, grandchildren Cody, Heaven, Zachary, Lacey, Gabrielle, Charlotte and Quincy, and great-grandson Kai. He also leaves his brother Maurice and sisters Monique, Rachel, Lucille and Suzanne, brothers-in-law Jeff, Stephen and Scott, and several nieces and nephews.
