Frank W. Lantagne, 84
GILFORD — Frank W. Lantagne, 84, of 7 Sargent Place, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Laconia.
He was born on March 9, 1931, in Boston, the son of the late Alexander G. and Frances (Bailey) Lantagne.
Frank worked for more than 25 years as a self-employed electrical contractor in the Billerica, Mass., area and also as an electrical contractor and lightbulb salesman in New Hampshire before retirement.
He was also the past president of the Lions Club in Massachusetts.
Frank loved the ocean and traveling to Florida. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Hirsch) Lantagne of Gilford; two sons, Peter Lantagne and his wife Gwen of Fairhill, Md., and James Lantagne and his wife Sharon of Haverhill, Mass.; two daughters, Nancy Nehez and her husband Tom of Williamsburg, Va., and Suzanne Reynolds of Haverhill, Mass.; four stepsons, Gary Groesser and his wife Doreen of Tyngsboro, Mass., Jeffrey Groesser and his wife Erin of Derry, John Groesser and his wife Betsy of Gilford and Kevin Groesser and his wife Lori of Hill; two stepdaughters, Judy Deschenes of the Villages, Fla., and Debbie Lincoln and her husband John of Marlboro, Mass.; two sisters, Audrey Cox and Barbara Bertone, both of Reading, Mass., his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Lantagne of Nashua; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Daniel Lantagne; one brother, Alexander Lantagne; and a half sister, Florence Lantagne.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Belknap Mountain Road, Gilford.
