LACONIA —Frances L. White, 68, of 50 Summer St. died Thursday, February 12, 2004 in the Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Laconia on November 4, 1935, the daughter of Lionel J. and Mary L. (Lavernovich) Dupont and has resided here all of her life.
She was employed at the Spaulding Youth Center as a data entry clerk for the past 23 years. She previously had been employed by the former New England Telephone Company, Beauchesne and Son and its successor Vernitron.
Mrs. White enjoyed tending to her plants, listening to music and studying history, especially President John F. Kennedy and his times.
Family members include her husband, George O. White of Laconia; a daughter, Patricia A. White of Austin Texas; a sister, Eleanor Archibald of Laconia; a brother James R. Dupont of Laconia; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial reception will be held in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. followed by a memorial ceremony in the Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Rev. Hector Bolduc, family friend, will officiate. Urn burial will be in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford.
