Donald was born on Dec. 16, 1934, in Laconia, the middle son of Charles and Alvira (Collette) Morin.
A lifelong resident of Laconia and Gilford, Don built a life rooted in hard work, family and community. He graduated from Laconia High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Pocono from May 1952 to November 1955. Plumbing & Heating, Culligan Water Conditioning, and White Ribbon Spring Water. Don shared a remarkable 64-year marriage with his beloved wife, Lorraine (Perry) Morin. Together they built a life filled with love, family, and adventure. Through Don’s leadership and involvement in the National Association of Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors (PHCC) and the World Plumbing Council, he and Lorraine had the opportunity to travel the world, forming lasting friendships and representing their profession with pride.
Donald is survived by his son, Donald Morin Jr. of Gilford, daughter Donna Breault of Laconia, and son Shawn Morin of Ohio; grandchildren Sarah, Jeffrey (Lydia), and Rebecca Chadwick, Charles and Perry Morin, and Zachary, Gabriel, Samuel and Lydia Morin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Richard Fielders (Caitlin Farley), Dominic Ferrari, Addison Howard, Dante and Charlotte Morin, and Bradley and Travis Chadwick; and great-great-grandchildren Maddox Ferrari, and Colby and Cash Fielders. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who were fortunate to know his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Donald had the pleasure alongside Lorraine to raise their two oldest great-grandchildren, Richard and Dominic, for many years.
