Born Sept. 6, 1938, in Cuba, New York, Dave was the son of Robert and Vivian (Murray) Keller. He was a graduate of Cuba High School, attended Erie Community College and received his bachelor's degree from Elmira College.
He and Ann were married in 1961, and welcomed their two children, Lori and John. They lived in Horseheads, New York, Gilford and Meredith, then back to Gilford.
He was a licensed optician at Winchester Optical in Elmira, New York; sales rep for Art-Craft optical in Rochester, New York, and European sales manager for Universal Photonics, allowing him to travel extensively in Europe. After he “retired” he opened his own company, KellerCo, and enjoyed traveling around New England doing what he loved, selling.
Dave enjoyed several ski and hiking trips to Europe, bicycling and over 30 years experience of sailing and power boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. He was a member of the AMC 4000 Footer Club. He loved his membership in the Winnipesaukee Yacht Club, serving as house chairman and trustee. Dave thoroughly enjoyed Thursday night pool with his friends, earning his nickname The Baron.
David is survived by his loving wife, Ann, and their children, Lori (Bob Tressler) of Bristol, Pennsylvania, and John (Jennifer) of Auburn, Massachusetts. His cherished grandchildren are Stephanie Ciallella, Ali Tressler, Robbie Tressler, all of Pennsylvania, and Jordan Keller and Trey Keller (his best buddy) of Massachusetts.
The family asks you to remember Dave’s laugh, his fantastic moustache, and his easy, kind and generous spirit; do a good deed in his memory. There will be no services at Dave’s request.
