BELMONT — David B. Bienvenu, 56, died December 24, 2014 at LRGHealthcare. He was born in Manchester, N.H. the son of Lester and Irene (Blessington) Bienvenu. He grew up in Manchester and attended a school in Pennsylvania before returning to New Hampshire.

David lived with the Bleiler family in Alexandria for quite a time. While there, he helped by working at their orchard: picking, washing, and packing the apples for distrubution. David also participated in the ski program of the Special Olympics, and loved to play and watch basketball. He later moved to live with the Partridge family in Belmont and participated in activities with the Lakes Region Community Services Council. He was often found helping with the watering of the community flowers in Veterans Square in Laconia, recycling with the Carey Spooner family in Gilford, and delivering newspapers around the Lakes Region.

To know David was to love him. He will be missed by his dear friends Donald and Violet.

He is survived by two sisters: Elizabeth Bienvenu of Manchester and Anne Peckett of Easton. Two neices and one nephew, grand neices and nephews, and cousins.

A memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church of St. Andre Bessette Parish, Church Street, Laconia, N.H. Burial will occur at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bedford, N.H. Arrangements by Emmons Funeral Home of Bristol. In lieu of flowers, you are asked to practice random acts of kindness in David's memory. Those wishing to make a monetary donation are asked to send them to the March of Dimes in your area.
