PITTSFIELD — Craig W. LaCroix, 67, of Loudon Road, passed away at his home on Oct. 18, 2024, surrounded by his wife and four children, after a long battle with cancer.
Craig was born on Nov. 19, 1956, in Laconia, the son of Bernard and Elizabeth (Hamel) LaCroix.
He was a man of faith who enjoyed anything outside; trips to the beach, vacations to Mexico, visiting his Tennessee and New Jersey family, bass and trout fishing, and hunting. Craig also held a deep love for animals, but mainly his best companion, his dog Hazel Mae.
Craig left his “blueprint” in the Northeast by following his passion of combining wood working and art in his life’s work. He started his own business building houses in his early years but shifted to design where he spent the last 30 years of his career as an architect.
Craig is survived by his loving wife Deborah (Tyrrell) LaCroix and his four children: son Kanon and his wife Kalley, son Christian and his wife Stephanie, daughter Tulia and her husband Andy and his youngest daughter Olivia and her wife Susel. Additionally, Craig is survived by his older brother David LaCroix and his wife Dawn, his younger brother Jeffrey LaCroix, and eight grandchildren he adored and loved to his core. He is predeceased by his parents.
There will be no calling hours.
A private service will be held at Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia.
Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services/603Cremations.com, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, is assisting the family with arrangements. For more information and to view an online memorial, visit wilkinsonbeane.com.
