FRANKLIN — Janet Arlene (Davis) Bowler, 70, a lifelong resident of Franklin died at her home, Saturday, October 30, 2010 following a battle with cancer. She was born in Franklin, July 12, 1940, daughter of the late Arnold G. and Dorothy R. (Tilton) Davis. Janet was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1959. She retired as a packer at the Webster Valve/Watts Regulator Company in Franklin following 40 years of employment. Janet was a shopper and enjoyed her trips to area and distant yard sales. She especially enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She found joy in watching birds at her home and the near encounters with her favorite, hummingbirds.

In addition to her parents Janet was predeceased by a sister, Joan Betty Davis in 1955, a grand nephew, Clayton Lambert of Boscawen and her companion for 14 years, Donald A. Nowell Sr. in 1999. She leaves her twin brother, Roger G. Davis and his wife Carol of Laconia; nephew, Jeffrey Davis and family of Union, SC; niece, Candy Lambert and family of Boscawen; grand nieces, Isabelle Davis of Union, SC and Abigale Lambert of Boscawen.

A calling hour will be held Wednesday, November 3rd from 10:00 to 11:00 A. M. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 at the Memorial Home. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery in Franklin.
