Beverly J. Schaefer, 81, of Belmont, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, to Stephen and Rose (Spack) Sipko, Beverly grew up with a deep appreciation for family, tradition and the simple joys of life. She later married her best friend and soulmate, James B. Schaefer, with whom she shared a lifetime of laughter, partnership and devotion until his passing in 2017. Beverly had a remarkable eye for beauty and history. She found joy in the world of antiques — especially vintage glassware and linens — and she delighted in giving forgotten treasures a new story.
She is survived by her son Dennis of Loudon; her granddaughters Amanda Viljanen and her husband Larson of Manchester, and Nicole Schaefer and her fiancé Kyle Mosher of Somersworth; and her cherished great-grandsons Kash Mosher and Oliver Viljanen, who brought her endless pride and joy.
No public funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to The Monadnock Humane Society, 101 W. Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446 — an organization close to her heart.
