GILMANTON IRON WORKS — Benjamin C. Peaslee, 50, of Potter Road, passed away on July 17, 2025.

He was born on March 12, 1975, in Laconia, the son of Thomas and Susanne (Tourigny) Peaslee.

A lifelong lover of the great outdoors and a true New Englander, Ben found joy in the simple pleasures of life — from casting a line on a lake to cheering for his beloved Boston sports teams. An avid hunter and fisherman, he spent his time in the woods during hunting season and ice fishing with his family. He liked to cook and appreciated company and great conversation.

Benjamin is survived by his two sons, Hayden and Garrett Peaslee; mother Susanne Peaslee; brother Aaron Peaslee (late wife Trisha Peaslee); and sister Monique Foote (husband Zachary Foote); as well as a large extended family. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Peaslee.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, July 23, with a brief service at 3:30 p.m. in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ben’s name to the New Hampshire Humane Society, P.O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
