CONCORD — Barbara Jean Jewell, 56, of Laconia passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.
She was born in Reno, Nev., the daughter of Richard and Anita (Sinotte) Jewell Jr.
Barbara was a charter member of the fraternal order of Eagles and the Family Fraternity of the Moose. She enjoyed shopping, camping, traveling making quilts, and helping others with any needs they had.
Survivors include her mother, Anita T. Jewell of Pembroke; sons, Nathan E. Glodgett and his fiancée Ashley Cate of Laconia, and Derek R. Glodgett Sr. and his wife Christina M. of Franklin; brothers, Douglas R. Jewell of Pembroke, and Michael J. Jewell of Loudon; a sister, Deborah Hanson and her husband, Stephen, of Epsom; grandchildren, Madhson Glodgett, Brianna Blake, Angelina Glodgett, Derek Richard Glodgett Jr. and Tyler Barry; also numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Jewell Jr.; and a sister, Theresa A. Raymond.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home 209 North Main St. in Concord. Private graveside services will be held later.
