Andrew K. Clough, 39

MANCHESTER — Andrew K. Clough, 39, of Manchester entered into eternal rest at his home on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016. Andy was born on Aug. 19, 1977, in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Kenneth C. and Deborah L. (Northrop) Clough.

Andy lived in Winthrop, Massachusetts, before moving to North Conway and later Laconia. He graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1997 and continued his studies at the Naval School of Health Sciences in Wichita Falls, Texas. Andy spent several years working side by side with his father as an electrician apprentice, as well as owning and operating his own sports cards and memorabilia shop. He was a sports enthusiast. His love for hockey could be seen from behind the wall of the many ice arenas he played at. He enjoyed all aspects of sports – the team, the players, the game or the race. If the television was on, then we knew he was home. At the time of his death, Andy worked in the prosthetic department of the Manchester VA Medical Center. Andrew was proud to be a veteran. He enjoyed his work and the many friends he made along the way.

He will be sadly missed by his family, which includes his mother, Katherine Clough of Meredith; four brothers, Rick Guidi, Tom Guidi and Bob Guidi of Meredith, and Tim Guidi of Gilford; two sisters, Angela Marsh of Meredith and Laurie-Ann Clough Carlin of Shapleigh, Maine; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and countless friends. Uncle Andy will always be remembered by his nieces and nephews as the first one on the court, no matter how cold it was. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Sammy and Chloe. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Julie and his Aunt Allyne "Duke" Carberry.

A memorial service was held on Jan. 10 in Winthrop, Massachusetts. A remembrance service for Andy will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 3:30 p.m., in the solarium at the Manchester VA Medical Center. Committal will be at a later date. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society. P.O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
