EAST ANDOVER — Alice M. (Hume) Tripp, 66, of 43 Switch Road in East Andover, died Sunday, February 8, 2004 at the Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin following a short illness. She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, March 20, 1937, daughter of the late Warren and Anna (Walls) Hume. Alice lived in Franklin for over 16 years and moved to East Andover 23 years ago. She worked for many years as a certified nursing aide at the Peabody Home in Franklin and Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen. She later worked at Webster Valve and Polyclad in Franklin and IPC/Freudenberg in Bristol. She attended the Baptist Church of Franklin.

She was predeceased by an infant son, Edward Tripp; and by a brother, Edward Hume. Her family includes, her husband of 35 years, Roy M. Tripp of E. Andover; six sons, Leonard Hough of Sanbornton, Joseph Hough of Concord, Warren Hough of Northfield, Peter Hough of Manchester, Roy Tripp of Sanbornton, and Scott Tripp of Laconia; three daughters, Tina Holmburg of Franklin, Tammy Blanchard of Orleans, Vt., and Tracey Tripp of Franklin; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Virginia Rowell of Quincy, Mass. and Marilyn Bostic of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, David Reynolds of Londonderry; and nieces and nephews

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Memorial Home. Burial will be at a later date.

The William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton is assisting the family with arrangements.
