MEREDITH — League of NH Craftsmen Meredith Fine Craft Gallery will host two upcoming classes.
On Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, artist Patsy Frasier will host a class creating a felted Christmas train. Attendees will learn the art of needle felting and create their own felted Christmas Train in this fun one-day workshop. They will make different shapes and put them together to build a train.Â
These can be used as tree ornaments, wreath or shelf decoration, or gifting. This is a really good beginner project and fun for experienced as well. Register by Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Expert basket maker and juried artist Alice Ogden will host a class on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. creating a black ash berry picking basket. Students will spend the day weaving this beautiful and functional berry picking basket, which measures 11 inches long by 5 inches wide by 4 inches deep. Ogden will guide attendees through the process from start to finish, allowing them to take home a beautiful completed basket of their own.Â
All materials will be included, including New Hampshire black ash splints, whittled white oak rims, oak handles, and a wooden form to weave the basket over. Register by Monday, Nov. 17.
